St. Croix Electric Cooperative is seeking a creative, organized, and community‑minded professional to join our Member Services team as a Communications Specialist! If you enjoy storytelling, design, and connecting people to meaningful programs and events, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact.
About the Role
As the Communications Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how our cooperative communicates with members, employees, and the community. In this position, you will:
- Create and manage internal and external communications including newsletters, articles, press releases, website content, social media, email campaigns, and digital signage.
- Design and coordinate marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, presentations, bill messaging, and advertisements.
- Manage and update the cooperative’s website to ensure content is current, accurate, and accessible.
- Support and promote member programs including Operation Round Up, scholarships, youth education, and safety initiatives.
- Assist with planning and participating in member meetings, community events, and the Annual Meeting of Members.
- Coordinate with vendors, printers, and community partners for marketing materials and events.
- Provide communications support to Member Services, Operations, and Finance departments to ensure consistent messaging.
- Represent the cooperative at select community, civic, and educational events.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field required
- Two (2) years of experience in a communications, marketing, or journalism role required
- Experience with website management, social media, and graphic design required. Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, with strong skills in Adobe InDesign.

Salary Range: $28.50 to $30.50/hour
